Get Involved: Join the PCC at Eurosonic Noorderslag

ESNS

From 14–18 January, Groningen celebrates Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) — the leading conference and festival for (independent) popular music in Europe and beyond. This year, we are excited to announce that the Prins Claus Conservatorium will host jazz/pop showcases in collaboration with InJazz and Buma Cultuur.

About InJazz

InJazz (part of Buma Cultuur) is known for organising major industry events such as Jazzahead and other international networking platforms. This is a great way to connect with the music industry (and see some great bands!)

How to get involved

The showcases take place on 15 and 16 January 2026, and you can participate in two ways.

1. Perform with your band as part of the ESNS showcase

PCC will host jazz-adjacent showcases supported by Buma Cultuur/InJazz. We are looking for two local/student bands to join the program. Current students as well as recent alumni (graduated no earlier than 2020) are welcome to apply. The following criteria apply.

  • Bands must fit the ESNS and jazz-adjacent profile: pop/indie oriented, club-leaning, non-traditional jazz.
  • Repertoire must be original (no covers or standards).
  • Alumni applicants must have graduated in 2020 or later.

2. Join the production team for the event

If you prefer to contribute behind the scenes, you can also apply to support the production of the event trough the form below. This includes helping with organisation, marketing, media, publishing and copyrights. You’ll need to be available for 3–4 preparation meetings before the event. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to listen to great music, connect with other Dutch jazz bands and build valuable industry connections liaising with InJazz.

Application

Apply through the form linked below. Application deadline is December 5th.
