During PCC Presents, students of the Prins Claus Conservatorium showcase their work across eleven events at locations in and outside Groningen. This presentation week is a vibrant showcase where you can enjoy projects and concerts by musicians in training. Expect a unique opportunity to discover the new generation of musicians: fresh talent ready to shape tomorrow’s sound.

Full Size Conducting

Full Size Conducting offers a unique annual insight into the world of windband conducting profession. Students in the Windband Conducting programme work with renowned guest lecturers, orchestras, and soloists to develop their technique, leadership, and artistic vision.

During Full Size Conducting, students at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen have the opportunity to conduct a (semi-)professional orchestra, a valuable experience that prepares them for their future careers. Under the guidance of experienced conductors such as Ido Gerard Kempenaar, Allan Withington, Anne van den Berg, and Tijmen Botma, they learn to navigate the dynamics and expectations of a professional orchestra.

Audiences are welcome at masterclasses, rehearsals, and workshops focused on leadership and conducting techniques. The program offers both an educational and inspiring glimpse into the world of windband conducting.

• Friday January 30th, 19.30-22.00h, Masterclass with Brass band ‘de Wâldsang’ conducted by Allan Withington
• Saturday January 31st, 10.00-16.00h, Masterclass with  ‘De Hoop’ Stellendam conducted by Anne van den Berg and Tijmen Botma
