About the camp
This is a three-day songwriting camp for creatives who want to collaborate, write, and record original music in a focused, supportive setting. Small groups, hands-on sessions, and a clear goal: one song a day for each group and leaving the camp with new tunes and new connections.
This song writing camp is organised by Comosition & Music Production student Joël Werleman and Master of Music alumna Marta Popovici. Both see connections between students from different schools essential, especially in a field as small as music. Not just for creative growth, but for strengthening the broader network. With their song writing camp, they foster an opportunity for music students to naturally intersect and make new connections. Through initiatives like this, they aim to offer meaningful experiences now while fostering long-term creative bonds and they invite music students from all cities in the Netherlands to join their song writing camp.
"Co-creation is a vital force in a musician’s life. We believe it offers something unique to everyone involved—especially when it brings together students from different music schools who share a common ethos but seldom collaborate. By facilitating these encounters, we hope to spark new art and lasting connections that enrich the cultural landscape around us."
