Prins Claus Conservatorium
Location
Jazz students from the Prince Claus Conservatoire are divided into eight ensembles and will spend a week working intensively on unique and personal compositions created by renowned guest lecturers. These guest artists will come to Groningen to collaborate with the students on the creative process. We are proud to welcome Tijn Wybenga, Teun Creemers, Oene van Geel, Sun-Mi Hong, Suzan Veneman (PCC alumna), Martin Fondse, Marike van Dijk, and Kika Sprangers.
Guided by both our own teachers and the guest lecturers, students will make music and receive valuable feedback throughout the week. The intensive support provided by the guest lecturers creates opportunities for open dialogue. What is the musical vision of the guest lecturers? How do they create opportunities and tackle challenges?
While the focus is primarily on making music, students will also have the chance to connect with the Dutch jazz industry. Through presentations and Q&A sessions, they will meet Mijke Loeven (director of Bimhuis), Joey Ruchtie (SPOT/Oosterpoort), and John Weijers (ZenneZ Records).
