Discover your musical future at the Preparatory Programme (Voortraject in Dutch) of the Prins Claus Conservatorium. This programme is designed for curious and motivated young musicians who want to grow, experiment, and build a strong foundation for a professional career in music. Whether you dream of performing, conducting, producing, teaching, or composing; this is where your journey begins.
Preparatory Programme
The programme is ideal for anyone seriously considering a bachelor’s degree in music. You are talented, motivation, and, above all, the drive to develop your skills further. You can join at a young age (12+) or later on, when you’re preparing for a bachelor’s programme at a conservatoire. Together, we explore your strengths and help you choose the direction that suits you best: a Bachelor of Music or a Bachelor of Music in Education.
Because everyone follows the same programme, from classical to jazz, from producers to future teachers, you’ll be part of an open and inclusive learning environment where different styles meet and inspire each other. There is no separate “young talent” track: every student has equal access to high-quality guidance and opportunities.
Learn in an inspiring environment
At the Prins Claus Conservatorium, your personal development comes first. You are seen as a young professional in the making: someone with ideas, talent, and potential. We encourage you to explore, experiment, and look beyond boundaries, helping you discover and develop your own artistic voice.
You’ll be supported by a dedicated study coach who guides your development. Together, you’ll review your progress twice a year, discuss your goals, and explore next steps, such as choosing or refining your artistic profile. Step by step, you’ll shape your own musical path.
